Psychological support for adults:
Support when you're not quite sure where to start.
Sometimes you know you're struggling, but you don't have a clear diagnosis or a single issue you can point to.
You might be experiencing a combination of anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, life changes or exhaustion.
You don't need to know exactly what you need before reaching out. The initial process can help clarify what is happening and whether psychological therapy is the right support for you.
How i can support you:
ANXIETY AND OVER THINKING:
When your mind doesn't seem to switch off.
Anxiety can show up as persistent worry, overthinking, perfectionism, self-doubt, difficulty making decisions or feeling constantly “on”.
Psychological therapy can help you understand the patterns contributing to anxiety and develop more sustainable ways of responding to thoughts, emotions and everyday demands.
BURN OUT + CHRONIC STRESS:
When functioning well starts to become unsustainable.
Burnout isn't simply being tired. You may still be working, caring for others and meeting your responsibilities while feeling emotionally or physically exhausted underneath it all.
Therapy can provide space to understand chronic stress, perfectionism, performance pressure, boundaries and the patterns that can keep you running on empty.
Trauma-Informed Psychology: A considered approach to experiences that have affected your sense of safety, self or relationships.
Trauma can influence emotions, relationships, self-beliefs, boundaries and the way we respond to stress.
A trauma-informed approach prioritises safety, choice, collaboration and individual circumstances. You do not need to tell your entire story before you feel ready.
Neurodivergence & ADHD:
Understanding yourself through a neuroaffirming lens.
For some adults, exploring ADHD, autism or other experiences of neurodivergence can provide a new way of understanding patterns that have previously felt confusing or difficult to explain.
Psychological support may focus on emotional regulation, executive functioning, sensory overwhelm, burnout, masking, identity, self-understanding and developing strategies that fit your individual needs.
A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH:
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all.
There isn't a single therapeutic approach that works for every person or every situation.
Rosie's work draws from a range of evidence-based psychological approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
DBT-informed strategies
Attachment-informed approaches
Mindfulness
Emotional regulation strategies
Trauma-informed practice
Neuroaffirming approaches
EMDR
Your therapy is shaped around you, your circumstances and what you are hoping to change.
The aim isn't simply to help you cope with more.
It is to develop greater understanding, flexibility and capacity to move through life in a way that feels more sustainable.
NOT SURE WHICH SERVICE YOU NEED?
You don't need to diagnose yourself before contacting a psychologist.
Many people experience several of the concerns described above at the same time. Anxiety can sit alongside burnout. Burnout can affect relationships. Trauma can influence emotional regulation. Neurodivergence can contribute to overwhelm and exhaustion.
Sometimes the most useful place to start is simply with what is happening for you right now.
If you're unsure whether Bellingen Psychology is the right fit, you are welcome to get in contact to discuss your circumstances and determine whether the service is appropriate for your needs.
